The Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday was a great success! Over a hundred folks dropped by – for our small Island population that’s a great turnout. An abundance of positive feedback on the studio and the artwork on display. Had a wonderful time celebrating!

The burl table was definitely the main conversation piece. I’ll be posting more on this project on the blog soon as I’m really excited about finishing these big burl slabs. It was great to get feedback on the style of legs that I’ve been imagining. More coming soon!

The Opening was hopping right from the start and folks kept arriving until closing at 9 pm. My studio was transformed into an art gallery… oh it’s so clean, wow! I’m really enjoying having all the work on the walls – it’s hard to imagine at this point making a mess o’ wood chips in here again. But, soon it will be so. For now, I can enjoy the vibe of the studio-as-gallery.
